Marshall Islands

The Marshalls are grouped into two vast parallel chains called the Ratak (sunrise chain) and Ralik (sunset chain). Within them, there are 1,225 islands and 870 reef systems. Majuro is the capital, and the most Westernized and populated of the Marshalls. Kwajalein is leased to the U.S. military and off-limits to most visitors. The outer islands are quieter and more pristine, retaining the essence of the tropical Pacific.

Visitors to the Marshalls will find an array of attractions and activities. With an abundance of reef systems, lagoons and fish species, both in-shore and deep-sea fishing are unbeatable. Wreck and atoll reef diving here are also superb. Above water, several of the atolls are virtual museums of WWII relics and artifacts.
